20 Miler Finished
A great group of scouts rode from Spring Grove to Genoa City
A small tire problem changed our rest stop from McDonalds to a gas station. But a fine time was had by all.
Thanks to Mr. Ziegler, Mr Mueller and Kevin and Scott, for joining us.
Sorry, no pics today.
Another Ride Completed!!
Brrr. Our Sunday ride was a bit chilly. Finished just as the snow started to fly!
I was glad that it was a cycling merit badge ride, otherwise we might have complained about the headwind to get from Spring Grove to McDonalds in Richmond. But all merit badge rides are downhill with a tailwind!
The return trip was great, and we got home just as the snow started. A donkey caught Kevin's attention as he rode past. Mr LeFave broke a spoke, but didn't notice it till the end.
Mr. Ziegler and Mr. Mueller came along. We also were joined by two merit badge alumnii Kevin and Scott.
Next Ride is Saturday Apr 11, 8:00am. Meet at my house. Plan is to start at Twin Lakes and ride to Lake Geneva. This is supposed to be a scout planned route, but I forgot to assign it. It would be grat if one of the scouts volunteered to plan it.

Bicycle Jeopardy
Congradulations to Kevin for winning at bicycle jeopardy. He succesfully came from behind and pulled out a win in the final jeopardy round. Prizes were awarded to all.
Bicycle jeopardy is a fun way to demonstrate that you have successfully completed the "book work" part of the merit badge.
Kevin and Adam submitted their bikes for inspection and demonstrated riding skills on a short ride. We're ready to roll!
A Basic First Aid Kit
You can easily put together a basic first aid kit for cycling. Most of the items I scrounched around from are usual scouting supplies.
These are only suggestions, use your scouting first aid handbook to put together your own first aid kit.
- A water proof plastic bag.
- CPR face shield.
- Antiseptic wipes.
- A few Bandaids.
- A triangular bandage.
- Butterfly closure.
Some other suggestions
Add another plastic bag and you'll be ready for some additional emergencies.
- Tape
- Gauze Bandage
- Gloves
- Various size sterile pads
